SMD-Transformers from RECOM
For isolated DC/DC converters in industrial, medical and e-mobility applications

We are expanding our portfolio with the RMR and RBE series SMD transformers from RECOM, specifically optimized for low-power applications. Together with the RVP Driver Power ICs, they enable the design of isolated DC/DC converters with defined insulation classes ranging from 1,500 VDC Functional Isolation up to 7,000 VDC Reinforced Isolation. Typical applications include home and building automation, e-mobility, industrial automation, LED lighting, medical power supplies, test and measurement equipment, and transportation systems.
Both series are designed for flyback, push-pull, and full-bridge topologies and cover a power range from 1 W to 30 W. They support common input and output voltages, are suitable for reflow soldering processes up to 250 °C, and allow double-sided soldering.
The RMR series consists of subminiature SMD toroidal transformers rated at 1 W and 2 W, optimized for RECOM's push-pull and full-bridge driver ICs. They provide insulation voltages of up to 4.5 kVDC/min, while the RMR-028 and RMR-031 offer enhanced insulation ratings of 5 kVAC/min and 7 kVDC/min, respectively.
For flyback topologies, the RBE series is available. It comprises coil-type SMD transformers rated from 6 W to 30 W with insulation voltages of up to 6 kVDC, matching RECOM's RVPW flyback transformer drivers. In addition, the RPE-021 provides enhanced insulation withstand capability of 6,000 VDC/min.
All SMD transformers are RoHS compliant and operate over a temperature range of −40 °C to +125 °C. They are available now.
