We are now offering the FPR fuse holder from Schurter. It is characterized by its high thermal load capacity without requiring additional space on the printed circuit board. This makes the fuse holder particularly suitable for applications with high current loads and limited installation space, such as industrial automation, household appliances, and medical technology.
The new fuse holder impresses with a 30% higher power dissipation while maintaining the same footprint. This corresponds to a power dissipation of 3.2 W at 10 A and an ambient temperature of 23 °C. In addition, the fuse holder is rated for a nominal voltage of up to 250 VAC and is 100% compatible with the established FPG4 series. With housing dimensions of 12.5 mm, the FPR represents a compact solution and enables seamless 1:1 integration into existing designs. The closed thermoplastic fuse holder is designed for 5 × 20 mm fuses and vertical PCB mounting (THT).
Furthermore, the FPR meets the vibration resistance requirements in accordance with IEC 60068-2-6 and is suitable for operation within a temperature range of –40 °C to +85 °C. The IP40 protection rating completes the technical profile. The component bears the CE and UKCA markings and is classified according to climate category IEC 40/85/21. Additional features include VDE and UL approvals.
