New XDR-E series from MEAN WELL in a slim design

Power Supplies I 27.05.2025
Effective immediately, we are expanding our portfolio to include the XDR-E series of AC/DC DIN rail power supplies from MEAN WELL.
The XDR-E series is available in power ratings ranging from 75 W to 960 W. These power supplies are suitable for use in a wide range of applications, including industrial control systems, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, factory automation, general automation systems, and battery charging devices.
Compared to the previous SDR, NDR, and EDR series, the XDR-E series features a much slimmer design, with widths ranging from just 30 mm to 96 mm depending on the model. It also offers a wide input voltage range of 85 VAC to 264 VAC, making it suitable for global use. The series boasts a high efficiency of 91% to 95.5%, while standby power consumption remains below 1 W (and under 3.6 W for the 960 W models), contributing to energy savings and a reduction in COâ‚‚ emissions.
Key advantages of the XDR-E series include a constant current limiting DC output, fanless design, wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +70°C (with derating starting at 50°C), adjustable output voltage, and support for parallel operation with a maximum system power of up to 3840 W. The units are capable of operating at altitudes up to 5,000 meters and comply with Overvoltage Category (OVC) III. An integrated DC OK signal is also included.
The series complies with the following standards: EN 61010-1, EN 61558-1, EN 61558-2-16, EN 62368-1, EN 55032, and EN 61204-3. Built-in protection features include overload, overtemperature, short-circuit, and overvoltage protection. The manufacturer offers a 3-year warranty.
