New XTR Series from MEAN WELL in a Slim Design

XTR

Power Supplies I 25.06.2025

We are now adding the XTR series of AC/DC DIN rail power supplies from MEAN WELL to our product range. The units are available in power levels of 240 W, 480 W, and 960 W. This series is designed for use in industrial control systems, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, factory automation, and electromechanical devices. Depending on the model, the series features a slim design with widths of just 48 mm, 63 mm, or 96 mm, as well as a wide 3-phase input range from 320 VAC to 600 VAC. Two-phase operation is also supported. The efficiency is 93.5% (XTR-240), 95.5% (XTR-480), and 96% (XTR-960), while standby power consumption is less than 2.5 W for the 240 W series and under 3.1 W for the 480 W and 960 W models—contributing to energy savings and reduced CO₂ emissions.

Further advantages include a peak power capability of 150% or 200% for up to five seconds, fanless design, and a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, with derating starting at 60°C. Parallel operation is possible, allowing for a maximum system power of up to 3840 W. The power supplies are rated for Overvoltage Category (OVC) III, come with an integrated DC-OK signal, and starting from the 480 W model, feature an Oring FET and remote ON/OFF functionality. A conformal coating on the PCB provides protection against moisture and dust. Various connection options are available, including screw, plug-in, and lever terminals.

The XTR series complies with standards EN 61010-1, EN 61558-1, EN 61558-2-16, EN 62368-1, IEC 61010-1, IEC 61558-1, IEC 62368-1, and UL 61010-1. Built-in protections include short circuit, overload, overvoltage, and overtemperature protection. The manufacturer’s warranty is 5 years.
