Finder 72.01 Series Level Relay

We are adding the Finder 72.01 series level relay for conductive liquids to our portfolio. Typical applications include pump control systems, industrial washing machines, swimming pools, filling systems, control and monitoring in water treatment plants, as well as processing machines for liquid food products.

The relay’s sensitivity is adjustable from 5 to 150 kΩ. For liquids with a conductivity of more than 2 μS, the 150 kΩ setting should be used. For conductivity up to 2 μS, the manufacturer offers a 450 kΩ version. It is also possible to equip the relay with a contact for small loads (up to 5 V / 1 mA). Additional features include a selectable intervention delay of 0.5 or 7 seconds and a front rotary switch for choosing between filling or draining functions. The level relay is available in versions for 240 VAC or 24 VDC rated voltage, or 400 VAC operating voltage. According to Finder, the maximum switching current is 16 A, and the inrush current is rated at 30 A. The relay comes with a single changeover contact and an LED status indicator.

The insulation voltage between supply and contacts, supply and probes, and contacts and probes is 6 kV (1.2/50 μs). With dimensions of 84 x 35 x 35.6 mm (L x W x H), the Finder monitoring relays are designed for mounting on a 35 mm DIN rail (EN60715) and are connected via screw terminals. The maximum cable length between probe and relay must not exceed 200 m. The 72.01 types can operate in ambient temperatures ranging from -20 °C to +60 °C. The electrical lifespan is rated at 100,000 switching cycles. The relay complies with IP20 protection, holds certifications including CE, UKCA, EAC, and cULus, and is RoHS compliant.
