The 3314 series SMD cermet trimmers from Bourns are now also available in our product range. These compact, adjustable resistors are typically used for fine-tuning and calibration of electronic circuits. They are essential for precise adjustment of voltage levels, current flow, or other circuit parameters, and are also used for sensor calibration. This makes them important components for applications such as audio and signal processing, and for calibrating temperature, pressure, and light sensors, among many others.

Designed for surface-mount technology, the Trimpot® trimming potentiometers combine a square footprint of 4.5 mm × 4.5 mm × 2.55 mm (L × W × H) with a wide operating temperature range from -55 °C to +125 °C. The resistance tolerance of the 3314 series is ±20%. These components offer a rated power of 0.25 W, dielectric strength of 500 V, and an insulation resistance of 100 MΩ. The resistance value can be adjusted within one full rotation of the wiper, covering a resistance range from 10 Ω to 1 MΩ. Thanks to their SMD design, the trimmers allow for easy, space-saving mounting on PCBs. The sealed construction protects against dust, liquids, and other environmental factors, which increases the trimmer’s reliability and longevity. The trimmers are available in a vertical configuration, designed for top adjustment, and feature gull-wing terminals. The mechanical rotation angle is 240°.

The 3314 series complies with EIA/EIAJ/IPC/VECI standards and is AEC-Q200 qualified. It also meets the UL 94V-0 flammability rating. Designed for a lifetime of 100 adjustment cycles, each unit is marked with the manufacturer code, resistance code, and date code.
