New DC/DC Converter of the SKMW40 series from MEAN WELL

To meet higher power requirements, Mean Well has developed the SKMW40 series of DC/DC converters. We are expanding our portfolio with this series.

The isolated and regulated 40W DC-DC converter module in a 1" x 1" housing features compact dimensions of 25.4 mm x 25.4 mm x 10 mm (L x W x H). It offers internationally standardized pinning, a high efficiency of up to 91%, a wide operating temperature range from -40 to +80°C, and an isolation voltage of 2kV DC. No minimum load is required.

The models support various input voltages of 9–36V and 18–75V (4:1 ultra wide input range) and offer a range of output voltages: 3.3V / 5V / 12V / 15V / 24V — suitable for all types of systems such as telecommunications equipment, industrial automation, distributed power architecture, and transportation applications.  An integrated remote ON/OFF control and an adjustable output voltage of ±10% are included. The internal silicone gel potting ensures effective heat dissipation and extends service life, while also providing resistance to dust and moisture and absorbing vibrations.

The series complies with BS EN/EN55032 Class A/B (with additional components) and meets UL/EAC/CE/UKCA safety approvals. Protection features include short circuit, overload, overvoltage, input undervoltage, and overtemperature protection. The manufacturer’s warranty is 3 years.
