With the DKCV-1 series, we are adding current-compensated single-phase chokes from the manufacturer Schurter to our portfolio. These are particularly suitable for use in compact, high-performance applications with high EMC attenuation requirements. The series was designed for vertical THT mounting on printed circuit boards; it impresses with its compact design, very high inductance and small footprint. Thanks to its open design, effective self-cooling is also achieved, which further improves thermal resilience.

Nanocrystalline cores are used inside the chokes. These enable high inductance values of 0.9 mH to 180 mH with a small size and allow operation at rated currents of 0.5 A to 10 A. All variants of the DKCV-1 series require the same footprint on the printed circuit board – an advantage in the design and layout of compact devices. The requirements of modern electronics – especially in applications in the energy sector, medical technology or industry – often lead to higher EMC loads. The current-compensated chokes of the DKCV-1 series contribute to the effective suppression of electromagnetic interference. Their high attenuation effect makes them particularly suitable for applications such as switching power supplies, frequency converters, test and laboratory equipment, and audio, video and communication technology devices in accordance with IEC/UL 62368-1.

The DKCV-1 series chokes from Schurter, with ENEC, cUR and UR approvals, are now available from stock.
