Sustainable Connection Terminals from WAGO’s Green Range Series

The products of the WAGO Green Range, Series 221, are now available in our portfolio. The WAGO through connector with levers from the 221 Series, the WAGO lever terminal block for conductor cross-sections up to 6 mm², and the 10-conductor terminal block are now also made from partially bio-circular and recycled plastics. They provide a more sustainable foundation right from installation. In a wide range of electrical installation applications, they enable the safe connection of different conductor types using a cage clamp – completely tool-free thanks to their wide design. In addition to regranulate, the plastics used in these terminals are partly made from post-consumer recycled materials such as PET bottles, as well as bio-based residues from industry and households, helping to reduce the consumption of fossil resources. The housings of the Green Range terminals are made from 77% bio-circular polycarbonate, while the levers are made from either 27% recycled PBT or 26% bio-circular plastic, depending on the model. This represents an important contribution to sustainability – with the same proven quality.

With identical technical specifications, unchanged certifications, and the same application possibilities, the new terminals match the well-established models of the original 221 Series. The Green Range lever terminal blocks are suitable for all conductor types and designed for cross-sections from 0.14 mm² to 4 mm² or from 0.5 mm² to 6 mm². They feature a rated voltage of 450 V, an impulse withstand voltage of 4 kV, and a pollution degree of 2. The terminals for conductor cross-sections up to 4 mm² are suitable for currents up to 32 A, and those for up to 6 mm² for currents up to 41 A. Designed for ambient temperatures up to 85 °C (T85), the terminals are available in 2-, 3-, 5-, or 10-conductor versions. The housings are transparent, and the levers are green.
