Product Range Extended: SUNON 120x38mm Fans with Speed Signal

We have expanded our range of SUNON fans in the 120x38mm size and now offer the two most popular types of this series with a speed signal, available directly from stock in Monheim. This size is one of the classic formats for equipment fans, combining high airflow with moderate noise levels. It is therefore particularly suitable for applications requiring high airflow where the use of high-performance fans is not an option due to noise constraints.

The speed signal is provided via an additional wire as a square wave (open collector output) from the fan’s motor control. This allows the fan speed to be monitored and any reduction in speed due to wear to be detected at an early stage. This function increases operational safety in applications where a defined airflow must not be undershot or where the fan is already planned as a service part. To temporarily maintain the required airflow, the input voltage can be adjusted up to 26.7VDC. Further technical details on the circuit design can be found in the datasheet.

Available from stock in Monheim are:

• EEC0382B1-000U-G99 with ball bearing
• MEC0382V1-000U-G99 with Vapo-MagLev bearing

The two types differ only in the bearing system. Both are designed for a rated voltage of 24VDC, provide a maximum airflow of 234.4 m³/h at 48dBA.
In principle, all SUNON fans in the 120x38mm size are also available with a tachometer signal on request.
