New High-voltage Fuses from Schurter
Expansion of our portfolio with the ALO series for EV applications up to 1000 VDC and 900 A
The new ALO series from Schurter is designed for high-voltage systems in electric vehicles, covering a wide range from 250 to 1000 VDC and 100 to 900 A. With a breaking capacity of up to 50 kA, it ensures reliable protection under demanding automotive conditions.
The series offers high flexibility with ceramic or resin housings and supports both axial and bottom bolt-on mounting. An operating range of –40 to +125 °C and robust materials provide excellent thermal and mechanical stability.
Its extensive portfolio covers multiple form factors, voltage levels, current ratings and installation types, reducing engineering effort. Proprietary filler and curing technology further enhance safety by preventing explosions, lowering fire risks and shielding nearby components.
Typical applications include PDUs, battery disconnect units, manual service disconnectors, all-in-one controllers, 2-in-1 electric drives and battery management systems. The ALO series complies with JASO D622, ISO 8820-8, GB/T 31465.6 and UL 248-20, with ALO11, ALO12 and ALO14 already UL certified.
