EA OLED Series from DISPLAY VISIONS: Compact Displays for Industrial Electronics

High contrast, fast response times and easy PCB integration for versatile display and control solutions

Two DISPLAY VISIONS OLED displays with 102 × 64 pixels and graphical temperature indicators for industrial applications.

Optoelectronics I 11.08.2025

With the EA OLED series, DISPLAY VISIONS offers compact OLED displays for applications that require clear readability, low profile design and easy integration on the PCB. The series includes text and graphic displays in different formats, including 4x20 character displays as well as graphic modules with 128x64 or 102x64 pixels.

A key advantage of the EA OLED series is its direct PCB integration: the displays can be soldered directly into the PCB or plugged into a standard 2.54 mm socket strip. This makes them suitable for compact handheld devices, operating units, measuring instruments and industrial electronics assemblies where space is limited.

OLED displays with high readability and fast response

The EA OLED displays provide a deep black background, high contrast and a typical viewing angle of 170°. According to the datasheets, the response time is 10 µs, with no pixel afterglow. This enables clear presentation of measured values, status information, icons or menu structures, even from changing viewing angles. For use in demanding environments, the displays are specified for an operating temperature range from -40 to +80 °C. Depending on the model, versions with protective glass, without protective glass and with different display colours are available.

Versions for text, graphics and user interfaces

The series covers different display requirements. The EA OLEDM204 is a text display with 4x20 characters and an integrated SSD1311 controller. Alternatively, 3x20 or 2x20 characters can be shown in double font size. For graphic applications, models such as the EA OLEDM128-6 and EA OLEDL128-6 with 128x64 pixels and the compact EA OLEDS102-6 with 102x64 pixels are available. The graphic displays use controllers such as SSD1306, SSD1306B or SSD1309 and support SPI and I²C. Depending on the model, analogue or capacitive touch panels are available as accessories. This allows pure display applications to be extended into simple operating and input solutions.

Designed for straightforward evaluation

A USB test board is available for the EA OLED series. It connects to a PC and allows text and BMP images to be shown directly on the connected display. In addition, a Windows-based simulation tool is available for individual display content. Developers can use it to check how content appears on the real display at an early stage, before the final layout is defined.

Schukat supports selection and procurement

Schukat offers the EA OLED series from DISPLAY VISIONS for developers, technical buyers and industrial companies looking for compact, easy-to-integrate display or operating solutions. With technical product know-how, a broad electronics portfolio and digital procurement options, Schukat supports projects from prototyping through to series supply.

Order suitable controller and development boards at the same time

For quick evaluation and first prototypes, the EA OLED displays can be integrated into common development environments via SPI or I²C. Schukat also offers suitable development boards such as Arduino Uno and ESP32 boards. This combination supports a straightforward setup during early testing: select the display, check the interface, add the controller board and test initial display content directly in the target environment. For ESP32-based applications, the 3.3 V logic used by many EA OLED graphic modules is particularly relevant. When using an Arduino Uno, developers should check the voltage level and supply requirements of the specific display version. In addition to the displays, Schukat therefore offers suitable components for prototyping — from controller boards and connectors to accessories for initial evaluation.
