MEAN WELL Expands SPWM Series with KNX and Matter Variants

We are expanding our portfolio with the new SPWM-KN and SPWM-MA LED drivers from MEAN WELL. These new models complement the existing SPWM-75, SPWM-150 and SPWM-240 series with native KNX or Matter connectivity, making them suitable for a wide range of smart lighting control solutions and emergency lighting applications.

The SPWM-KN models feature an integrated interface for direct connection to the KNX bus and support KNX Data Secure requirements for secure data transmission within the system. The   communicate via Matter over Thread in accordance with the Matter 1.5 specification. They feature an integrated antenna and are certified by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA). Both the KNX and Matter versions support PWM dimming frequencies of up to 20 kHz. Depending on the application, one to four output channels are available. These can be used for independent dimming of individual channels, color temperature control via Tunable White, or RGBW applications. The SPWM family thus covers three key lighting control standards – DALI, KNX and Matter – within a single product family, while continuing to support the 3-in-1 dimming function.

The devices also feature a wide input voltage range of 100 to 305 V AC (SPWM-75/-150) or 180 to 305 V AC (SPWM-240). Additional features include a flicker-free design in accordance with the CE ErP Directive and a minimum dimming level of 0.1%. The enclosure dimensions are 290 × 38 × 28.5 mm (SPWM-75), 340 × 38 × 28.5 mm (SPWM-150) and 380 × 38 × 28.5 mm (SPWM-240).

MEAN WELL provides a five-year warranty for the SPWM-KN and SPWM-MA variants.
