Ultra-Thin, High-Performance SCCC Series Supercapacitors from Schurter

We are adding the SCCC coin cell supercapacitors from Schurter to our product portfolio. The vertically mountable energy storage devices are available in six versions and feature fast charging capability and a long service life. Thanks to their compact design and high power density, they are particularly suitable for backup and memory applications as well as for bridging short-term power interruptions. Typical applications include sensor technology, smart metering, computer and peripheral systems, office and mobile devices, as well as backup power for real-time clocks.
The supercapacitors are designed for rated voltages of up to 5.5 V and cover a capacitance range from 100 to 1,500 mF. The operating temperature range is –25 °C to +70 °C, while storage is possible at temperatures from 0 °C to +60 °C and at a relative humidity of up to 70%. The tin-plated THT terminals are suitable for wave soldering onto printed circuit boards. With dimensions of 11.5 × 5 × 17 mm or 18.7 × 5.4 × 24.9 mm and a weight of only 1.4 to 4.3 g, the components provide a particularly space-saving solution. In addition, their low leakage current contributes to energy-efficient operation.
The SCCC supercapacitors are CE and UKCA compliant and meet the requirements of both the European RoHS Directive and China RoHS. They are also REACH compliant.
