Ultra-Compact XDR Series DIN Rail Power Supplies from MEAN WELL

We are now adding the compact and powerful XDR series AC/DC industrial DIN rail power supplies from MEAN WELL to our portfolio. The power supplies are available in several power ratings from 75 W to 960 W. Typical applications include industrial automation, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and energy infrastructure.

Compared to the previous SDR and NDR series, the XDR series features a particularly slim design with a width of only 30 mm to 96 mm. It also offers an extremely wide input voltage range from 85 VAC to 305 VAC, making it suitable for worldwide use. The DIN rail power supplies achieve a maximum efficiency of up to 96% and feature low standby power consumption from 0.7 W to 1.5 W. Depending on the model, output voltages of 12 V, 24 V, 36 V, or 48 V are available.  The units are equipped with a constant current limiting function, deliver up to 200% peak power for 5 seconds, and are designed for short-term peak currents of 600%. Additional advantages include the fanless design, extremely low inrush current, and a wide operating temperature range from −40 °C to +85 °C with derating from 60 °C. Parallel operation up to 3,840 W is optionally possible. The power supplies can be operated at altitudes of up to 5,000 meters and comply with overvoltage category (OVC) III. They also feature an integrated DC-OK signal and remote ON/OFF function. From 120 W, an ORing FET for reverse current protection is integrated; from 240 W, a Modbus interface is additionally available. A PCB coating protects against moisture and dust. Screw terminals, plug-in terminals, and lever terminals are available as connection options.

The XDR series power supplies comply with standards including EN 61010-1, EN 61558-1, EN 61558-2-16, EN 62368-1, IEC 61010-1, IEC 61558-1, IEC 62368-1, and UL 61010-1. Integrated protection functions include short-circuit, overload, overvoltage, and overtemperature protection. MEAN WELL provides a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty.
