We are expanding our product portfolio with the ATEX-compliant JS series PCB relays from the Japanese manufacturer FCL Components. Thanks to their compact design, these single-pole relays are an ideal choice for I/O modules, timers, heating controls, and air conditioning systems in hazardous environments.

Designed for medium voltage applications, the components offer a maximum switching voltage of 400 V AC / 300 V DC, a maximum switching capacity of 2 kVA, and a rated current of 8 A. The nominal power consumption ranges from 220 mW to 245 mW, with an operating power of 110 mW to 120 mW. The relays also feature high insulation performance, with an insulation clearance of 8.0 mm between coil and contacts, a dielectric strength of 5,000 V AC, and a surge resistance of 10,000 V. The operate time is 10 ms from coil energization to contact closure, while the release time is 8 ms after de-energization. With a mechanical lifetime of up to 20 million switching cycles, these relays provide a highly durable solution.

With dimensions of 29 mm x 10 mm x 12.5 mm, the PCB relays are designed for THT mounting and are soldered onto the board. They are available as normally open (1 Form A / SPST-NO) or changeover contacts (1 Form C / SPDT), fully sealed in plastic (RTI III), and comply with the UL 94V-0 flammability standard. The contact material is made of heat-resistant, cadmium-free AgSnO₂ (silver tin oxide), making the relays suitable for use in high ambient temperatures of up to +85 °C. The JS series relays comply with international safety standards such as VDE, UL, and CSA, and are certified according to IEC/EN 60695-2-11 (glow wire test) as well as IEC/EN 60335-1 (glow-wire compatibility).
