Compact 5 W / 15 W AC-DC on-board power modules from MEAN WELL
Expansion of our portfolio with the new 5 W / 15 W AC-DC on-board power modules of the IOB-05/15 series
We are expanding our product range with the IOB-05/15 series from MEAN WELL. The standout features of these 5 W / 15 W AC-DC on-board power modules with vertical inline pins and open-frame design include their low standby power consumption, high efficiency, and miniaturized form factor. This makes them ideal for PCB integration in devices with limited installation space, such as industrial automation systems, power measurement devices, and smart home equipment.
Thanks to their compact open-frame construction, these power modules are particularly well suited for applications in small protective housings. With output voltages of 3.3 V, 5 V, 9 V, 12 V, 15 V, and 24 V, all common industry voltage levels are covered. Compared to MEAN WELL’s existing IRM series, the new IOB series features a space-saving single-inline design and an extended operating temperature range from –40 to +85°C with natural air convection, while also offering flexible EMC tuning options.
With an extremely low standby power consumption of under 0.15 W, the compact and reliable modules are both energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. They support a universal and wide input range from 85 to 305 VAC, making them suitable for worldwide use, including operation at 277 VAC in North America. They include comprehensive protection features against short circuit, overload, overvoltage, and overtemperature to ensure safe and reliable operation. In addition, they meet EMC requirements according to EN55032 Class A/B with external components and carry CE and UKCA approvals.
The power modules are available from stock effective immediately and come with a three-year manufacturer’s warranty.
