From the Permanent Marker to an International Brand
edding was founded in Hamburg in 1960 by school friends Carl-Wilhelm Edding and Volker Detlef Ledermann. With the edding No. 1, they laid the foundation for the company’s future development. Today, the edding Group is an internationally active family-owned company headquartered in Ahrensburg near Hamburg. As the parent company, edding AG manages the Group’s subsidiaries, investments and central corporate functions.
