Product description
  • The RMD40-UW series of chassis-mountable DC/DC converters has been developed for railway and transport applications and complies with all relevant standards: EN50155, EN50121-3-2, DB-EMV06, EN50124-1, EN50125-1, EN 61373 1B, EN 62368-1, EN 45545-2. The unit is designed with an input voltage range of 11:1 to accommodate input voltages from 14.4 VDC to 154 VDC for nominal voltages of 24, 36, 48, 72 and 110 V, covering a range suitable for all applications – in any vehicle worldwide. These isolated and regulated outputs utilise a reinforced insulation system. As it is mounted on a base plate, the unit operates at full power within the wide temperature range for Class OT4+ST1&ST2 (from -40 °C to +85 °C) without the need for additional cooling systems. Input reverse polarity protection, inrush current limitation, a 10 ms hold-up time, remote control and an output OR diode, as well as an efficiency of up to 92%, round off the functionality of this fully rail-compliant plug-and-play unit.
