Safety/Certifications
- Directions
PCS should be applied to the area being masked to a thickness of at least 1mm to enable easy peeling after use. Dry at 65°C for at least 30 minutes (2 hours at 23°C). This can be accelerated by heating @ 80°C. Thicker films may require longer drying times. As PCS dries it changes in colour from pink to red and must be fully dry before the conformal coating or wave soldering process. Following application of a conformal coating, PCS can be removed by peeling off once the coating is touch dry. The conformal coating may then be secondary or heat cured if applicable, according to the manufactures guidelines. When used as a solder mask, PCS can be removed by peeling off after the process, once the substrate has cooled to room temperature.
