Assembly
  • SMD
Applications
  • Protection against overcurrent and short circuits in devices. Ideal for low-voltage power supplies up to a maximum voltage of 16V, such as: audio equipment, automotive electronics, security and fire alarm systems, halogen lighting, medical and testing equipment, cable harnesses, etc.
Material Terminal
  • Copper, tin plated
Termination Style
  • SMD
Features
  • • Self-resetting fuse elements
    • Low power loss due to low resistance during normal operation
    • Protection against overcurrent and short circuits in devices
    • The operating principle is based on the PTC effect. During normal operation, the resistance of the element is very low, resulting in minimal power losses. In the event of a fault, such as a short circuit or overcurrent, the resistance of this element increases, protecting the device. After the fault is cleared and the supply voltage is switched off, the element quickly returns to its low-resistance state.
    • Can be soldered directly onto a circuit board

Application note
  • • These components are designed for protection against overcurrent and overtemperature.
    • Not for continuous, repetitive switching operations.
    • When handling products that come into contact with electrical voltage, the applicable VDE regulations must be observed.
