Features
  • • Self-resetting fuse components
    • Low power loss due to low resistance in normal operation
    • Protection against overcurrent and short circuits in devices
    • The mode of operation is based on the PTC effect. In normal operation, the resistance of the component is very low, so that only small power losses occur. In the event of a fault, e.g. short circuit or overcurrent, the resistance value of this component increases and protects the device. After the fault has been eliminated and the supply voltage has been switched off, the component quickly returns to its low-resistance state.

Application note
  • • These components are designed for protection against overcurrent and overtemperature.
    • not for continuous, repetitive switching operations.
    • When handling products that come into contact with electrical voltage, the applicable VDE regulations must be observed.
