  • The Camtec HSEUREG models are high-precision laboratory power supplies “Made in Germany”. These power supplies are designed for power supply systems in test automation and for industrial use. Camtec Power Supplies has been manufacturing high-end switching power supplies in Germany for more than 25 years. A field failure rate of less than 0.004% over a 10-year period confirms our rigorous quality approach. Every Camtec product manufactured undergoes 100% testing for every individual function and a full-load burn-in test. Although not required by safety standards, our production department carries out a routine safety test on every unit manufactured, even if it is a low-voltage model. The components in the assembled unit undergo stress ageing to ensure a consistent level of performance and to prevent delayed failures. Our internal product development guidelines set out a clear objective: Camtec products must have a ‘fit and forget’ reputation. Quality is never just a promise for our team. The HSEUREG laboratory power supplies offer low noise and residual ripple, very fast programming and precise regulation during high load changes. With an efficiency of up to 90%, the units are highly energy-efficient. Equipped with high-end capacitors offering outstanding service life, our power supplies guarantee a very long and reliable operating life. The circuit design of the HSEUREG series enables it to cope even with complex loads. The internal protection circuits safeguard the power supply and the connected system, even in exceptional circumstances. The HSEUREG series is protected against high transients by powerful, high-energy filters. All inputs and outputs are galvanically isolated. The design specifications meet the highest standards for safety and interference suppression. The 480W and 720W models operate using natural convection. The 1kW models utilise forced air cooling with a fan. When selecting the fan – as with all our power supplies – we use components from the German manufacturer EBM Papst, which we believe are the highest quality and most reliable on the global market. The HSEUREG power supply series delivers high programmable power output in a space-saving enclosure. The latest generation of electrical equipment relies on the high reliability of all CAMTEC products. CAMTEC’s philosophy is to use 125°C low-ESR ultra-long-life capacitors wherever appropriate in order to achieve an exceptionally long product lifespan. The HSEUREG power supply is designed for highly reliable and demanding industrial applications such as electroplating systems, professional DC drives and complex test benches. The HSEUREG power supply is very similar to a typical laboratory power supply – but without its displays. It is designed for automated industrial test benches operating 24/7. The HSEUREG offers safe and precise programming right down to zero voltage. The product is equipped with a multifunctional interface. The interface can therefore be operated using either 0–10 Vdc/20 mA or 0–20 mA programming. The load resistance is 500 Ω to ensure interference-free operation with controller interfaces. The unit is characterised by low latency and fast ramp-up programming, resulting in a typical programming time of 15 ms from zero to Umax. The power supply is galvanically isolated between the input and the output. All functions are connected to the DC power outputs. The HSEUREG is equipped with thermal overload protection and an automatic recovery function. The overload behaviour consists of ticker mode and automatic restart. A continuous short circuit will not damage the power supply. The HSEUREG then supplies a constant current and an output voltage of zero. It restarts automatically once the short circuit is cleared. The HSEUREG series is fully open-circuit protected. The unit supplies a stable output voltage but no current. When a load is connected, the power supply stabilises within 1 ms. There is no overshoot of the output voltage. The units feature a gentle ramp-up during switch-on (soft start). The unit does not overshoot the output voltage, nor does the output fluctuate, regardless of whether a load is connected or not. A special heat dissipation design allows for thermal coupling via a baseplate, should the customer wish. A baseplate mount is available as an accessory. The units naturally operate independently even without this baseplate. The baseplate therefore has no influence on the derating behaviour of the units as specified in the data sheet.
