  • The Camtec HPV models are high-precision laboratory power supplies "Made in Germany." These power supplies are designed for power supply systems in industrial applications. For more than 25 years, Camtec Power Supplies has been manufacturing high-end switching power supplies in Germany. A field failure of less than 0.004% over a 10-year period validates our demanding quality concept. Every Camtec product manufactured undergoes 100% testing for every detail function and a full-load burn-in test. Although not required by safety standards, our production team conducts a routine safety test on every manufactured device, even if it is a low-voltage model. The components in the assembled device undergo load aging to achieve a uniform level and to prevent delayed failures. Our internal product development guidelines state a clear goal: The reputation of Camtec products must be "one of the best in the world." Quality it's never just a promise for our team. The design of the HPV series meets demanding applications such as complex drives, piezo printheads, test benches and professional mechanical engineering. The power supply offers low noise, precise load control, and high efficiency up to 93%. High-quality long-life capacitors guarantee extended bridging time and exceptional lifetime of the power supply. The circuit design is designed for complex loads. The internal control loop prevents problematic operating conditions to protect your system from damage. The HPV series features active protection against high input transients with suppressor diodes, X2 capacitors and varistors. All inputs, outputs and function ports are galvanically isolated. The design specifications are designed for enhanced noise resistance and safety. The device is homogenized with the safety standards EN61010-1, EN6101010-2-201, EN62368-1, EN60950-1 and EMC compatibility according to EN55032. The device is permanently safe (ticker mode) with automatic restart. The device has an internal temperature control that protects the device from overload. As soon as the temperature drops to the normal value, the power supply automatically restarts (autostart). The starting behavior is controlled in all cases and an uncontrolled and excessive overload of the output voltage never occurs. A special heat dissipation design allows heat coupling via a baseplate if the customer so wishes. A baseplate holder is available as an accessory. The devices naturally operate independently even without this baseplate. The baseplate therefore has no influence on the derating behavior of the devices mentioned in the datasheet.
