RoHS Directive
RoHS – General Information
The RoHS Directive (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) – EU Directive 2011/65/EU – serves to restrict the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. It regulates the use and placing on the market of hazardous substances in electrical devices and electronic components.

RoHS – Statement
Schukat electronic Vertriebs GmbH (Schukat) actively monitors the requirements of the RoHS Directive and has identified its tasks and obligations to the best of its knowledge and belief. Therefore, Schukat contractually obliges all suppliers to comply with the requirements of the RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU (RoHS 2) and the Delegated Directive 2015/863/EU (RoHS 3)). We fully support the objective of the RoHS Directive to improve the protection of human health and the environment.
Schukat electronic Vertriebs GmbH works closely with its suppliers to gather updated compliance information. Details on the status of each product we distribute are documented in our system and continuously updated as soon as we receive confirmed compliance information from the manufacturers.
RoHS-compliant items are marked on our homepage with a green check mark. The green check mark indicates that the following substances are not used as input or additive substances or that the permissible maximum concentrations are adhered to:
Lead (0.1%)
Mercury (0.1%)
Cadmium (0.01%)
Hexavalent chromium (0.1%)
Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) (0.1%)
Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) (0.1%)
Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (0.1%)
Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP) (0.1%)
Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) (0.1%)
Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) (0.1%)
Furthermore, items marked with a green check mark may also fall under an exemption where restricted uses are permitted. Items that are not marked with a green check mark are either not relevant to RoHS, not RoHS compliant, or we have not received RoHS information from the manufacturer.
RoHS compliance is also indicated on the respective invoice and the associated delivery note. The RoHS compliance status is continuously adjusted as soon as we receive updated information from our supply chain.
Since we operate exclusively as a distributor, we do not have direct knowledge of the composition of the components we supply, nor do we have direct knowledge of the substances used in manufacturing processes. Please note that all information regarding the RoHS status of our items is based on the information provided by the respective manufacturer. Schukat electronic Vertriebs GmbH is not authorized to make any assurances regarding RoHS compliance. The data is shared to the best of our knowledge and belief. It is the responsibility of the customer to verify all information with the manufacturer.
Given the complexity of the topic and the large number of products and manufacturers involved, we kindly ask for your understanding that we are unable to answer customer-specific questionnaires and, as a distributor, cannot issue comprehensive, future-oriented, and generally valid confirmations in our name.

RoHS – Labeling
To ensure easy and quick identification of RoHS compliance, we label our products on the internet, on the packaging, and on the delivery note.
On the product label:
At the bottom of the product label, you will usually find the "RoHS" marking in plain text if the product is RoHS compliant.
On the delivery note:
If a delivered item is RoHS compliant, you will find the "RoHS" indication on the delivery note.
On the internet:
If an item is available as RoHS compliant, this information can be found either on the respective product detail page in the "Specification" block or on listing pages in the "RoHS" column.
